The technology department calendar is filling up quickly! As we approach the end of the year, I’d like to request that any summer work requests – reorienting projectors in rooms, network cabling, hardware or software installation – be submitted via the ADM Support online request system as soon as possible. Further, just a reminder that major classroom layout changes generally require the approval of your building principal and notification of the facilities department as well.
So you’re aware, our regular summer maintenance in classrooms and labs includes:
- Updates and reimaging (where necessary) to the district’s:
- desktop computer labs
- mobile iPad carts
- mobile Chromebook carts
- mobile laptop carts
- classroom-assigned devices (laptops, iPads, Android tablets, MacBooks)
- Physical cleaning of equipment in desktop and mobile labs
- Updates (as necessary) to staff-assigned devices
- Cleaning and testing of mounted projectors
- Wireless signal strength testing and wireless network optimization
- Configuration and distribution of new hardware for stationary and mobile labs
